TE KŪITI October 19 NO action was required from firefighters who responded to an alarm sounding at OMYA Limeworks on Old Te Kūiti Rd, Te Kūiti at 2.33am. A FIRE reported in the vicinity of Tawa St, Te Kūiti at 10.56pm was found to be a controlled burn. October 21 FIREFIGHTERS used an absorbant to clean up a petrol leak on Rora St, Te Kūiti at 9.09am. THE brigade was called to a crash on Te Kumi Rd at 12.44am where a person drove off the road. There were no injuries. October 22 A SWING chain and seat at Redwood Park had to be cut to free a child with a stuck leg at 6.13pm.

ŌTOROHANGA October 19 THE brigade was called to help at a Ngutunui farm where a person was involved in a motorcycle accident at 1.56pm. Firefighters assisted ambulance and set up a landing site for the rescue helicopter.
