October 18 POLICE provided traffic control for a telephone cable over power wires at New World Taumarunui. A DRIVER failed to remain stopped for Taumarunui police. The driver was known to police. YOUTHS were reported to be at a burnt out house on Taupō Rd, Taumarunui.

October 19 A MAN who crashed his car in Taumarunui was found to be over the legal alcohol limit. A CAR cover was taken from a vehicle parked at an address on Ngatai St, Taumarunui.

October 20 TRAFFIC signs on Taringamotu Rd, Taumarunui were damaged. A HEREFORD bull was reported to be on Ongarue Back Rd, Taumarunui.

October 21 A DRIVER in Taumarunui was stopped with a breath alcohol reading of 1256mgm of alcohol per litre of breath (the limit is 250mcg).

October 22 TAUMARUNUI police received reports of people on the railway line. POLICE in Taumarunui spoke to a man who was unlawfully hunting. A DOG was struck and killed on SH4, Manunui.

October 23 A VEHICLE was set on fire on Hakiaha St, Taumarunui. A MAN was arrested for assaulting a female in Taumarunui.

POLICE attended nine family harm episodes in Taumarunui between October 18 and 24.
