Heavy Rain Watch

METSERVICE advises there is a heavy rain watch today for Waitomo, Taumarunui, Taupo North of Turangi and Waikato for the six hours from 9am until 3pm. The forecast is for possible periods of heavy rain with thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts may approach warning criteria. For Te Kūiti the forecast is for rain, heavy at times with possible thunderstorms, easing for a time this afternoon as fine breaks develop, clearing this evening. Westerlies
