Te Kūiti

February 8 A MAN was transferred to Te Kūiti Hospital after crashing into a pole at the railway crossing on Awakino Rd near Te Kūiti Pa at 3.57pm. Firefighters conducted traffic control at the scene.

TWO fire appliances from Te Kūiti assisted at a medium sized grass fire on Ohura Rd, Aria at 2.39pm. Ōtorohanga firefighters were called to assist but were turned around en route.

February 11 TE KŪITI brigade assisted Benneydale firefighters when a car rolled on SH30, Benneydale at 5.57pm.

February 12 THE male driver of a car which rolled on Rangitoto Rd, Te Kūiti at 2.44am was taken to hospital. A rescue helicopter was dispatched to Te Kūiti but did not transport the patient.

February 10 FIREFIGHTERS responded to reports of vegetation on fire in Taharoa at 9.28am.

February 14 THE brigade received multiple calls for help from Ōpārau due to flooding. One was 5.13am, another was at 9.35am and the third was at 3.08pm.
