February 24 AN investigation into an alarm sounding at Te Whare Ruruhau health facility on Waitete Rd, Te Kūiti at 11.27am found no further action was required.

February 25 FIREFIGHTERS were stood down en route to the scene of a crash in Aria where a motorbike collided with a concrete post at 3.04pm.

February 26 PIOPIO and Te Kūiti brigades responded to a large grass fire in a paddock on a Mokauiti Rd, Aria farm at 1.03pm.

FIREFIGHTERS conducted traffic control at the scene of a crash in Te Kūiti at 6.53pm. A car crashed into the bridge on King St, Te Kūiti, but all occupants were out of the car on arrival.

February 17 A CONTROLLED burn in the vicinity of Kakepuku Rd, Ōtorohanga caused concern at 8.51pm.

February 18 FIREFIGHTERS responding to reports of a gas smell around a restaurant in Pirongia at 11.07am were turned around.

February 21 THREE trucks and a tanker were called at 3.04pm to extinguish a hay shed on fire on Main North Rd, Ōtorohanga.

February 22 FIREFIGHTERS responded to an alarm activation at a telephone exchange in Te Kawa at 10.22am.

A FIRE alarm was activated at the Fat Kiwi Cafe in Ōtorohanga at 1.02pm.

THREE trucks and two tankers from both Ōtorohanga and Te Awamutu brigades extinguished a house fire in Wharepūhunga, Ōtorohanga.

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a tree fire on Rangiatea Rd, Ōtorohanga at 8.48pm.

February 23 A FIRE alarm was activated at Ōtorohanga Club at 10.02am.

FIREFIGHTERS were called at 12.32pm when the basement of a house on Kakamutu Rd, Ōtorohanga flooded.

A CAR rolled on Waitomo Caves Rd at 3.18pm.

February 24 THE brigade responded to a false alarm in Maihiihi at 11.56pm.
