St Patrick’s crash victim named

POLICE have confirmed an Ōtorohanga man was the victim of a fatal crash on the night of St Patrick’s Day in Te Awamutu.

Jonathon Hood, 28, was using a pedestrian crossing on Sloane St at about 9pm on March 17 when he was fatally struck by a vehicle.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

Police continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information relating to the vehicle involved to get in touch.
