THE King Country Farmer’s separate digital platform is to be absorbed into the King Country News to reduce costs.
“We have been advised that the cost we will be billed to provide both the digital flipbooks that a number of people read, will be going up by several thousand dollars per year,” Beacon Media Group CEO Aaron Buist said.
“To try and minimise this increase, we will be closing the Farmer specific digital flipbook in the next few days and go back to just having one, like it used to be a few years ago.
“We have always published the Farmer stories within our newspaper given they go together, that’s what we think of as the big issue for the month. This won’t be changing. Click here to check out our most recently published ‘Big’ issue with all our Farmer content included.
“Keep an eye out for that big issue each month to access all that rural content. This is usually in the second issue we publish each month.
“We will also try and draw more attention to that issue with a prompt on the front page of the King Country News,” Aaron said.
