Legends trophy for Isaiah

TE KŪITI Pā trustee Isaiah Wallace was awarded this month’s Legends Trophy by business group, Legendary Te Kūiti.

His work at Centennial Park School was the primary reason for the award, but Legendary Te Kūiti also acknowledged his many community contributions.

“He has been an excellent role model within the school and has made an impactful difference to rangatahi past and present.

“Isaiah also teaches rangatahi te reo Māori and kapa haka, as well as giving his own time to assist with sports and school trips.

“In the wider community, Isaiah volunteers as a Māori warden and gave his time and energy to help organise the 150th celebration of the Te Kūiti Pā.

The trophy was presented to Isaiah during a school assembly.

During the assembly, his contribution to many members of the community was acknowledged by the school as they farewelled him as he embarks on his new role with Te Nehenehenui.
