Ōtorohanga Brigade was called out to a house fire at 5.25am at Kāwhia on September 18, however, the brigade was turned back while it was still on the way to the incident.
At 3.55pm that day, the brigade was again called out to assist the Kāwhia Brigade, only to be turned back once again.
On September 19, at 8.21am, the brigade was called out to a report of smoke rising from a property on the town’s Main North Rd. It turned out a resident had been burning rubbish and other material there but had the fire under control.
On September 21, at 9.08am, the brigade investigated after a fire alarm went off at Maihihi School.
On September 26, at 11.53am, the brigade was called out after a utility vehicle went off the road and struck a power pole on Ngahapi Rd. Two fire trucks from Te Awamutu attended, as well as the one from Ōtorohanga. The driver was uninjured.
