Great bowling at Te Kūiti

Te Kuiti Bowling Club’s tournament on Sunday was very successful.

There was fine weather with a pesky wind, the greens were in great order and there was a good turnout locally as well as teams from Ōtorohanga, Piopio and Kihikihi taking part.

There were some very hard-fought matches evidenced by the final results with five teams recording two wins and a draw and only one team recording three wins.

The runner-up was decided on the most ends won over the four matches and this fell to the Ōtorohanga team skipped by Dave Stimpson, recording 21 ends won.

Clear winner on the day was the Kihikihi team, skipped by Owen Johnstone with three wins.

The next tournament is the Xmas Ham Tournament on Sunday, December 10.
