CENTRAL Ōtorohanga lost its water supply on Sunday after a water main burst on Huiputea Drive about 5.30am.
District Council staff and contractors shut down several water lines heading into the Ōtorohanga township to make the repair.
Supply was restored to a large portion of the Central Business District (CBD) at reduced capacity and surrounds west of the railway by 10am.
The main was repaired by 4pm.
