PLANNING for the The Brook Park Fireworks Extravaganza is under way for this year’s event on Saturday, November 11.

As with the previous eight events the evening will include a massive bonfire, a Guy making competition and food stalls.

Past crowds have been about 1500-2000 people, Brook Park Committee chair Guy Whitaker said.

“We will be promoting this as a gold coin donation event and the proceeds will go to developing Brook Park as a place for our whole community to use and enjoy such as the Disc Golf and Mountain Bike track, some of our completed projects,” he said.

The 15–20-minute fireworks display is the major cost, which has increased by 30%.

The Lines Company has stepped up as a major sponsor and the committee was seeking support from other Te Kūiti businesses.

They can contact guy@tekuiti100.co.nz as soon as possible, or donate to bank account 03 0449 0222594 00.
